Personal Finance Manager is an application that helps you calculate your income and expenses. It allows you to set up accounts for recording transaction and budget information.
The application allows you to work with an unlimited number of accounts, each of them holding the usual account numbers, sort codes, contact details and also an optional interest percent calculation. One of these accounts can be set as the default one. After recording a transaction, the program automatically calculates the balance.
You can Move or Copy transactions between accounts using the Move/Copy Transaction option. The tool offers the possibility to generate detailed reports, choosing the accounts or date range, as well as the possibility to display balance plots, graphs or pie charts. The reports can be exported to several formats, such as PDF, XLS, RTF, DOC, or RPT (Crystal Reports – it is automatically installed during the program setup).
The program also allows you to create a backup copy of a database or to restore any transaction that has been deleted. You have the option to allocate transaction values to budgets if you wish to compare actual expenditures with budgets. Several graphical reports will show how your finances are doing compared to the budgeted values.
